today it really isn't the heat

I was shooting for six miles today, but man, is it humid at Pokagon. Taking the trail to Hell's Point sure didn't help. So while I only made a little over 5 miles, some of them were challenging miles.

Five miles???? DUDE, I can barely move from my chair in this heat! That's pretty amazing if you ask me.

Well, it only got up to the low 80s ... Which was still pretty sticky at 70% humidity, but it hit the low 90s the day before.

Shooting for six miles? You managed five? The fact your grave is not in that last photo means you have done WAY better than I would. The stone would have said: "Jamie, he shot for six miles, sixteen minutes in he passed."

It comes with practice! But the other thing is that I have to bring my cholesterol down, and the medicine was killing me. Since walking is pretty much the only exercise I enjoy, it's go on hikes or you get that grave photo!

Mine was thru the roof some years back and the doctor was trying to say sentences with "lifestyle" in them and I just said, "Is there a pill??" I was on them 6 years. But when we moved in here, like 18 months ago, I saw a documentary that showed how dangerous statins can be and I've not taken once since. I have not discussed that with my doctor yet now I think about it, I probably should next time I go... Ack Good going on the five miles thing anyway man :)

Yes, you definitely need to talk to the doc about that. But by the time you hit our age, you have to pick what's going to kill you!
