That's great, but it doesn't address the subject of the article--and the economic reality is that it's temporary.

Unfortunately, Obamacare does little to reduce the actual cost of health care, which has resulted in astounding increases in rates for the middle class--including many people who just can't afford it, and it seems to me those people also matter. It gives the federal government a huge amount of control over the economy and private citizens, at a cost that just can't be sustained into the future. It makes deep cuts in programs like Medicare advantage and actually *increases* the cost of health care in some areas. In addition, the law is so huge and complex that few really understand all its aspects and ramifications, some of which have nothing to do with actual health care. (I actually read the law. It took me weeks, and a lot of ibuprofen, but I did what most lawmakers never did before they voted for it.)

Don't get me wrong--your point is valid, and we brought this on ourselves. We could have found easier and simpler ways to provide healthcare to low income patients, without letting a bloated, out of control government take it over and increase federal control over the people. Instead, we let the problem fester for so long that a lot of people have falsely concluded Obamacare was a good idea. Now, with the government paying for stuff with money that doesn't exist, we face a certainty that at some point their funding bubble will burst and collapse the worldwide economy. When that happens, there won't be money for anyone's health care.

It's a bad law, written for bad reasons. While it's good to see some people helped, that help is financially unsustainable--not that the politicians care what happens after the next election.
