"Vandals Make Portable Latrine More Portable":
Someone vandalized -- of all things -- a portable toilet, which had been sitting west of Albion over the weekend.
The facility was found dumped along the road on CR 270N, south of the CSX Railorad tracks, at about 6:35 a.m. Sunday, according to the Noble County Sheriff's Department. Investigating officers sniffed out the outhouses original location, along the CSX tracks, and discovered someone appeared to have wrapped a chain around it to drag it down the road.
The outer shell of the structure, which is owned by a Wolcottville based sanitation company, received an estimated $1,000 damage from the chain and from being smeared along the pavement. The company later retrieved their latrine and, as no one witnessed the vandalism, police have nothing to go on.
