Bookcase, assemble

If there's one thing I learned today, it's that the biggest challenge that will ever face a relationship is assembling furniture together. This is especially true when the woman is feeling sickly and the man just had a tooth drilled.

Right, no bookcase is going to beat me! Except for the one that fell on me that one time, but ... never mind.

My son and I put Photobucket this pantry together yesterday. What a pain in the butt. Hubby and I could never, never have done it, I would have killed him before we finished setting up the dang thing.

One of the reasons we put it off so long is because Emily had heard all the stories about my past efforts. Oddly enough, I think the fact that we were both miserable to start with actually helped us get along better.

I wonder who the Big Bad of the episode will be ...? ;-)

The Dalek episode was awesome, as were the Pond stories -- and clearly all the rest of this season is going to be, too!

Well, that sucks -- I hate character death. If I was the show runner, I could never bring myself to kill off any of them, either.

But now I'm excited that -- at least in a way -- what I said in my e-mail about having that girl/Dalek be the Doctor's new companion is true! I really liked her. I think I'll keep this a secret from Emily, and see if she recognizes the girl. :-)

What you say makes complete sense -- I just don't like to see my favorite characters die! It's the difference between how things are and how I want things to be.

I was wondering how they could handle a companion who'd always be in a Dalek body, but you're completely right -- the Doctor could make her look human most of the time. A Dalek who thinks at least partially like a human, maybe fighting her nature ... that would be interesting. (Although you're right about the continuity thing.) Either way, we get to see more of her!

We have the next season all planned out, between the two of us! But they probably have surprises of their own ...

So true, my midwestern friend, so. very. true.

(Try hanging wallpaper together; that's another "relationship test".)

You should see the wallpaper that was in this house when I bought it. WOW. Now our task is taking that 70's stuff down and replacing it with paint, which is pretty close to being just as bad.

I just built Ikea shelves a few weeks ago... once we had done one we were okay but the first one took far too long. Why so many steps Ikea?

Well, they want us to have the satisfaction of working for what we get. Or they want us to pay for home assembly?
