yep ... local author on display

My daughter Charis stopped by The Bookmark, an independent bookstore in Fort Wayne, and was surprised to see Storm Chaser shelved there. I’d asked them to carry it – The Bookmark and Summer’s Stories in Kendallville are the only book stores that carry print copies.

She got so excited that she attracted the attention of another nearby shopper – who decided to buy a copy! I think I’ve discovered a new form of guerilla marketing.

I'm a happy proverbial camper! Which, if I was camping literally, I wouldn't be so happy.

We have a fun antique/gift/collectible shop here -- well, we did until the flood last summer -- that carried all of the local-linked products they could find. You might want to reach out to similar stores in your area?

In addition to being in two bookstores, Storm Chaser is for sale in an antique shop, a showcase farm gift shop, and two newspaper offices so far -- and three libraries that I know of. And of course I carry copies in my car ... just in case!

I don't think I'll ever associate the words "marketing" and "fun"!
