Bad Night in Mark Town

Feeling a bit better now, which means I can't have what knocked Emily down for the last week. Vinny (Charis' fiance) came over and installed a new vent system for our furnace yesterday (heat, yay!).  I wonder now if all the dust from his drilling and sawing and such didn't turn my little head cold into a full-blown dust allergy attack. Breathing in dust can clobber me like getting hit by a truck.

On an unrelated note, I also got to experience the wonder of back muscle spasms last night, possible a long-term result of pulling a ceiling at the house fire Sunday. I've lived with chronic back pain for over 25 years (also as a result of a fire), but that's skeletal; this was something *very* special.

 Wasn't a good night.

I'm glad that you're feeling a bit better!

And yikes for the back pain. I hope tonight is a better night! :)

Well, I made it back to work tonight -- it's a tossup as to whether that means it's a better night! :-)

I'm better, thanks. Actually, other than a sinus headache and my normal back pain, I'm doing pretty good -- it's probably the best I can hope for between now and spring!

You're really in the wars at the moment, aren't you?

Dust can knock me around at least as badly as the flu...sometimes worse. And alas, I seem to have developed an immunity to all the over the counter anti-histamines (couldn't develop an immunity to dust instead, could I? lol)

Take care of yourself, and if the back thing continues see a doctor or a chiropractor.

I take a prescription allergy medicine, which does pretty well on my normal allergies -- but doesn't seem to do a thing against dust.

Actually, my normal chiropracter appointment was just the day before. Usually he fixes me up pretty good, but every now and then I twist or turn the wrong way in that healing period right after my appointment, and run myself into trouble. I did that somewhere along the way this time -- I'm guessing maybe with a sneeze or two!

I'm as healthy as a horse!

I mean, a kind of sickly, worn out horse, but still ...
