a moving experience

Got up to 95 degrees yesterday ... heat index of 103 or so ... so naturally, my oldest daughter and I spent the late morning and early afternoon helping my youngest daughter move. From one upstairs apartment, across town, to another upstairs apartment.

I'm just now starting to get sore, but I'm still tired ... and I think maybe still a little dehydrated.

It is indeed ... my theory that Mountain Dew is life has been so far disproven.

Nods. It's supposed to hit around 100 today - and then we're expected to have a high of about 70 by Tuesday.

Keep hydrated.

Our record high for today was 100, and they're expecting to brush up against it today. I have to admit, I'm really dreading those 70 degree high days -- it gets way too cool for me at night, that way -- but this is ridiculous.

Don't you love, that no matter how old they are if they move they call the parents.

Very true! And most parents are okay with that, because they still like to see their kids once in awhile. In her defense, she had very little notice of the move and had to do it on a weekday, when her friends were all busy.

The water drinking has been accomplished! And let me say how very much I like your icon.

Not to be too disgusting, but I literally was soaked all the way through when we were done; it wasn't much fun at all.

Hot
Hope you weren't too tired to hit the shower after all that! :) I stayed in most of the day yesterday and did very little physical work. Get rested up. We have some cooler weather coming, thank God. Today is not bad, actually.

Re: Hot
Oh, there's nothing like a shower at that point!

It's actually going to be *too* cool for me the next couple of days; typical Indiana. But it should be about right toward the end of the week -- even if it rains, since we need the rain.

Re: Hot
It will be cool, here in Ohio too, just the right amount of cool for me.

I might complain for our garden tomatoes (they love heat for ripening) if the ground hog had not eaten them all.

The ground hog likes gout weed too. Maybe next year I won't plant anything and just let him munch on weeds.

At least the grounhog will be happy!

Re: Hot
He still likes tomatoes better than weeds. So do I.

So, on second thought I'll try to trap the critter and see how our garden does next summer.
