Interview no-news and hectic week

Still no word on when my TV interview will be posted on the Indiana News Center website; I was told it was going to be when the website guy gets back from time off, which means maybe mid-week. It will eventually be here:
http://www.indianasnewscenter.com/features/your-country

Just to throw me, one of the first videos now up starts with "Local man authors a book" -- but it's not this local man.

Despite saying it would happen, I'm ashamed of how very little I've been online recently. In addition to working on the Storm Chaser short stories, we had that day and a half of panic cleaning, followed by the interview, followed by collapsing from the stress of the panic cleaning and the interview. Then the entire weekend was dedicated to doing taxes, and on a related note I need to get better organized this year. With any luck, next year I'll owe taxes -- because that will mean I sold lots of books. (Hm ... and how do I handle sales tax for copies I sell myself?)

Any extra time was spent staring in horror at the news channels, thinking a whole lot of people in Japan had much worse weeks than I did.

All of this possibly explains why I'm now experiencing what seems to be my very first migraine. If this is "mild", I can understand why severe cases are incapacitating.

And what have I missed amongst all of you on the world wide web? Fill me in, and I'll reply back when I can look at the screen without pain.

Oh dear, migraines are really dreadful. I hope you recover from it quickly.

I've been offline too, with kiddo's birthday party, I've been prep-ing my taxes as well, and now my mr. has got the flu. NO FUN! But still, as you said, I've not wanted to post to complain about such things in light of what's happening in Japan. We are very lucky indeed, very blessed.

I DID get your Storm Chaser short stories, and I've read the first three or four. They're WONDERFUL! \o/ I'll zip you an email later this week--after I've finished the taxes, and when mr. beanbeans is back to work--with my thoughts and reactions. They're all good thoughts, though- I'm thoroughly enjoying your stories. :)

Take care and feel better soon. *hugs*

It is better, but for awhile there afterword I felt like I'd just finished a marathon -- completely wrung out.

About halfway through my work shift we took a working semi fire, and I noticed after dispatching it that my light and sound sensitivity had lessened; awhile after that the headache slowly started getting better, but by the time I got off work I felt completely drained and wrung out, as if I'd just run a marathon. So -- recovered now, but I don't want to do that again! And as you say, it's a pretty minor thing considering what people are going through in other parts of the world.

Now, don't go easy on me with those stories -- if you see a problem, shout it out!

I'm better! Still a little weak -- that wrung-out feeling afterward is something nobody warned me about.

I actually read your post about your own migraine, although I missed the spring break one. I think yours was certainly worse than mine -- but since it was a first for me, it hit me pretty hard.

I have some experience with chronic pain, having had problems ever since hurting my back at a fire in the mid 80's. Can't say I'm all that anxious to add another ongoing ailment in my old age ...
