The pageant is a new event for Noble County, but it’s being organized in part by experienced participants in the Dekalb County Relay For Life, which began having a similar pageant six years ago. The three planned age groups planned are:
Little Miss Noble County Relay, Ages 6-8.
Jr. Miss Noble County Relay: Ages 9-13.
Miss Noble County Relay: Ages 14-17. Contestants must be residents of Noble County.
Scoring for participants will be based 30% on money they raise for the Relay For Life; 30% on a personal interview with the judges; 30% on appearance, wearing a sundress or semi-formal dress; and 10% on an on-track question at the event itself.
The first meeting for the pageant will be February 21st, 3 p.m., in the home of contest
organizer Maggie Johnson at 703 S. Peters Street, Garrett. There’s a $50 entry fee, which will go toward participation prizes and t-shirts. Forms and more information are available at the Miss Relay website: http://missrelayforlife.yolasite.com/, and entry forms are also available at any Community State Bank in Noble County.
