Fritos corn chips have no cholesterol! Zero! *breaks into hysterical laughter* I can still eat them! *more hysterical laughter* *refuses to look at the rest of the nutritional facts*

So, what's your favorite non-cholesterol food?

*points to corn chips* It *can* be! It's just not as likely!

Also, no cholesterol in tea -- there's a relief.

Yum, blueberries and strawberries.

Ironically, this diet is going to cost so much more than what I usually pay for food that I'll end up starving to death.

I'm with you -- my mother and grandmother are diabetic, and my sister has problems with low blood sugar. That's why I was surprised that my blood sugar level came back normal on the blood test.

yeah your sister is the one who has to worry. hypoglyemia is the precursor to type II diabetes.

I was just reading the diet book by Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser and she does do a good job of putting ALL the endocrine things in there but she brought a little too much of that cheerleader lose that weight fatty attitude toward it and kept claiming that EVERYONE can afford organics and health food and i just found that so unrealistic

Her blood sugar may have contributed to the difficult pregnancies my sister has had -- and the miscarriages.

I'm not a huge fan of people like Jillian Michaels ... but just because of the attitude, but as you say, those kind of people seem to think we can all adopt their rarified air of time and money.

sorry to hear about that

Yeah I usually am not either but I thought, okay i need to lose weight. Her book sounded interesting and if I wasn't into medicine it would probably have all b een news to me.

but her personality imbues the work and if i see her, i'd punch her

She reminds me of the old expression, "Perky morning people should be shot". :-)

Can I pretend they don't have a high sodium content? ;)

I don't think non-cholesterol food is in my vocabulary. Or my diet. ;)

I actually have low blood pressure for my age, so I cheerfully ignore the other drawbacks to salt and keep on using it. I figure, one crisis at a time!

Ooh, that didn't help at all ... especially since one of the second shifters left some ham behind in the work kitchen tonight. :-)

Oh, I don't eat ham -- too much sugar! I also rinse and pat my bacon dry before cooking it -- I know some folks who soak it overnight, or just buy uncured pork belly, to avoid even that much sugar and salt. BTW, my BP last week was 122/78...

Sugar and salt aren't a problem for me ... yet!
