There have been almost 90 record low temperatures set around the United States this weekend ...

If Al Gore was here right now, I'd knock out his inconvenient tooth.

My friend in Florida said the temperatures there have been through the roof for this time of year...and LJ's Padiwack is on my friend's list...and said it's been three digit temperatures (with the heat index) in New Orleans. Extremes all around me.

Y'all need to come to Jersey where, thanks to Global warming, it's always spring!

Second that. 108 heat index in Florida yesterday, according to a friend of mine. I just stared at my monitor and thought "it's OCTOBER."

(Of course, I'm saying the same thing about the 40 degree temp in Ohio, so...)

It's 58 here right now. Sweater weather. Jersey has it's flaws, but the weather isn't one of them! Apparently there are enough gangsters here that even Mother Nature backs off!

If only we could, say, hang huge fans from satellites and stir these temperatures up so they mix and average out a bit ...

It set new cold-weather records here for last winter, for spring, and for summer here. Skipped fall, is winter here now.
Global warming?
PLEASE SEND SOME OF IT HERE!!!!!!

Like many people, I'd love to have some global warming in the winter -- but couldn't want it hanging around in the summer. However, since we had a record cool month over the summer I'm not too worried about that.

Ugh, I am not a fan of this cold. I was kind of hoping for a mild winter after the coolish summer but I guess it's just going to be cold all around :S

It was hopping against hope, but I was thinking the same thing myself. Batten down the hatches!

Hahahahah...

I very well might be a Democrat if I were American, but Al Gore and his movie — well, if someone can bring tears of boredom to your eyes, it would be him.

I've never seen the entire movie -- I have no desire to put money in Gore's pocket. However, I've seen his arguments and his "facts", and like most politicians he knows how to make one thing look like something else.

But then, he is terribly dull, isn't he?

That's probably exactly how the conversation happened!
