I have a Dreamwidth account now, also with the username of Ozma914. I was going to ignore the whole DW craze, until I found out you can automatically crosspost between DW and LJ. I figure, if it's that easy to do two in one, why not?

Now I can't figure out how to make it crosspost.

yep, I did that -- it gives me a message that it can't post because of an invalid password, even though my password is the same for both accounts. I couldn't find a place on DW to put in my LJ password -- could that be what I'm missing?

I've done that, but ... maybe I put in the wrong password? I'll delete and try it again. by the way, do you know of a way to have more than one other site to crosspost on?

That was it! I must have had the wrong password -- thanks!

Ah, that answered my next question! I'd like to be able to crosspost to InsaneJournal too ... hm ... can it crosspost to MySpace? I do spend a lot of time putting my columns up all over the place. But I'll have to decide whether to spend the money.

I just wanted to say thanks for the info!

I keep seeing Dreamwidth posts in my flist. I don't know the backstory of why it is so popular. I also saw that it seems to be a paid service, so LJ will suit me just fine hehe

I don't have a clue; so far it seems pretty much exactly like JL -- the only advantage I see is that I've been able to figure out how to automatically crosspost, so it doesn't waste any time being on both.

On the other hand, I haven't explored much over there, so maybe I'll get sold on it later.

I didn't even know you could crosspost that easily!

And if you want to do lots of places all in one go, you should get Semagic, which I never figured out, but lots of people use it.

I think Semagic is what Emily mentioned to me yesterday; I'm going to ask *her* to help me figure it out! :-)
