It’s not too late to get involved in the Noble County Relay For Life, an American Cancer Society event to raise money for cancer services and research. This year’s Relay takes place May 18th and 19th at the West Noble High School track and football field, south of Ligonier, and has a theme of “Colors of Hope”.
Teams from across the county will gather to walk the track and participate in activities in the all night event, and are encouraged beforehand to search out a variety of fund raising ideas: everything from bake sales to dinners, lemonade or food stands, putting out coin cans that are available from the ACS, or selling luminary bags. Teams can also secure sponsorships, or do fund raisers on site during the Relay. Corporate sponsors are always welcome.
This is the 100th anniversary of the American Cancer Society, while the first Relay dates back to 1985. Relay For Life supporters celebrate survivors, remembers those lost, and have an opportunity to fight back.
