Writer's Block: Born to do it

What is your idea of the perfect job? Do you think you'll ever get it?

Novelist, of course. I guess you could say I've already got the job -- the big question is, will I ever be able to do it full time?

Actually, the last year I kind of have been doing it full time; I guess the real question is,will I ever make enough money at it to quit my day job, that I work at night?  Good question ... not many writers manage that, but it's a worthy goal.

Memorial Rose Bushes Available Through Noble County Relay for Life

     Living Memorial Rose Bushes are being sold to benefit the American Cancer Society, as part of the Noble County Relay for Life.

     A 1 1/2 gallon white rose bush, or 1 1/2 gallon lavender rose bush, is available for $20. They can be bought during the Relay, on May 14 at the West Noble High School football field south of Ligonier, and are also available for delivery or pickup in time for Mother's Day. Shadarobah Horse Rescue Holding Benefit

Volunteers at the Shadarobah Horse Rescue facility near Churubusco are hosting their third annual Easter benefit on April 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds will go toward the upkeep costs of boarding dozens of horses that have been taken in, often after being rescued from situations of abuse and neglect.


Events at the benefit include egg hunts and coloring, a kid’s raffle, pony rides, games, food and a bake sale, face painting, and moonwalking. Prizes and pony rides will also be offered and – of course – the Easter bunny is expected to appear.
