Writer's Block: Me, myself, and I

Which one word would you use to describe yourself, and why?

Busy.

Because I suck at saying no and I have bills to pay.
This is outside the Albion New Era's normal coverage area, but ...

It doesn't seem like enough words for the loss of a life with so much potential.

A car-bicycle collision near LaOtto killed an Avilla woman Wednesday, August 18.

Talia J. Smith, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a 1999 Hyundai driven by Kirk A. Weeks, 47, of rural Albion, according to the Noble County Sheriff's Department. Police say Smith was riding her bike north on Old SR 3, north of CR 400S, when she was struck from behind by Week's vehicle.

Weeks was taken by EMS to Parkview Whitley Hospital for observation, and his condition was not released. The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police; as of Friday no charges have been filed, and alcohol was not reported as a factor in the crash.

Talia Smith, an East Noble graduate, was a New York University student and a 2008 graduate of East Noble High School.

In addition to police, units assisted at the scene from the Noble County EMS, Whitley County EMS, LaOtto Fire Department, and Noble County Coroner's Office.
