book cover humor

(no subject)

My Drabble "Happy Slaying, Charlie Brown", which was originally written for a drabble contest over at sl_podcast, won first place for still_grrr prompt #068. This came as quite a shock to me, as every story that go-around was great, and a couple of them ranked among some of the best short stories I've ever read -- fanfiction or published. Not that mine was bad, but it wasn't the best of that batch. Check out all the winners here:

On a totally unrelated note, I caught the first episode of a show called "The Middleman", on ABC Family. It's silly, different and hilarious, kind of a combo of Men in Black and Torchwood, with a bit of Wonderfalls mixed in: totally JossWorthy.

And now, off to submit my and Emily's entries for Summer of Giles!

Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).
Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

The only thing I can think needs explanation is the file marked "Christmas music" -- although now that I've checked the preview, it's really too small to see the names on the files. I'm burning all my iTunes mp3's onto a disk, and I'm trying to consolidate all the various Christmas songs together into one file. Believe me, I do NOT listen to Christmas music in June!

I tag ..... everybody! Bwahahahahah!!!!
