typical Indiana summer

We got clobbered by the weather in Noble County and around northern Indiana last night: trees and wires down, power outages, some buildings damaged, that kind of thing. Unconfirmed reports of funnel clouds in two neighboring counties -- but everybody always thinks they see a tornado during severe weather. Straight-line winds can cause just as much damage, and in this case they were hard at work. No injuries reported, though.

That may slow my internet time down a bit the next couple of days, but only a bit. Albion itself escaped the worst of the weather -- everything was just to the north or just to the south of us. It's just that I get a lot of my LJ and writing work done during downtimes in dispatch, and we aren't getting a lot of downtime in dispatch, lately!
