Mine is 16! But she was mostly rooting for the Bears just because I was rooting for the Colts. :-)

Oh, the Colts are a special team of trained horses from Indianapolis, who won a circus performance contest against a group of trained Bears from Chicago. Animal team sports are a very big deal here in the American Midwest. :-)

Actually, I was making all that up -- it's American football. Still sports, though. :-)

The Midwest is generally around the Great Lakes, which you can find pretty easily on a map or globe, while Oregon is in the Northwest, way to the west of us. However, we do have those bars where you can toss your nut shells down!

It's true that a lot of people in the midwest think the average Californian is a lunatic ... but they've got nice weather. :-)

what we know
Well, it's geography from the other side of the world, so it's not like you're losing anything by not having it memorized. I just recently learned that Big Ben is part of the same complex as Parliment.

I don't know much about sports, either -- or anything about cars, except how to turn the key and put them into drive. I'm rather renown for my lack of mechanical ability, which isn't really something to be proud of.

They're exactly the same ... I drive a computer, i don't get under the hood. :-)

Ha! I thought you said you weren't interested! :~P

I presume your local team won then?

Well, the Indiana team won ... I'm in a location at an almost equal distance between Indianapolis and Chicago, so I'm not sure you can call either the local team, for us. Chicago just happens to be over the border, in another state. :-)

Now I don't have to watch football again for another year.

LOL

I take it, your clever trick to root for the other team worked - congrats!
(if I were so smart from the beginning, England would be world champion today :( LOL)

No, rooting for the other team doesn't work because the fates know I'm faking it. What worked is that I refused to watch the plays -- only the replays. Sure enough, when I didn't watch, the Colts did well, just as I've written before. I used to joke about it, but now I'm getting nervous ...

happy Thanksgiving!
Even for a non-sports fan like me, it's nice to see the home team win!
