Nannie's home

My grandmother, Nannie Bricker, is back home (actually, staying down the street with my mom) after her fall on New Year's Eve day. The doc says she had a compression fracture on her spine, in the area between her shoulder blades. She's up and walking a little as per doctor instructions, and medicating the pain away as much as possible.

Meanwhile Emily and I are trying not to breath on her--we're on the tail end of this upper respiratory gunk that's been going around. Hopefully we're not contagious anymore, but why take chances? Thanks so much, everyone, for your good thoughts, and everyone be careful in 2017.
