I'm sorry to have to be the one who says this man but your writing, well, I don't think it/your book will sell well in France.
See your writing is terrific/very-good-author-quality man, it is not, however, extremely obvious or cliché; nor does it beat its intent/s into the readers consciousness over and over as though the reader is too stupid to understand subtly, until the words no longer have any emotional meaning whatsoever... Oh and also, it doesn't try to constantly convey that the writer is wittier/cleverer/superior to the reader the entire time...
Thus with a heavy heart I say to you, I project bad sales in France... Sorry man.
