Misery index

It seems to me that the only reason to have a thermometer in your car is to confirm how miserable you are.

Depends how warm you keep the thermometer, and how much lube you use I suppose...

I could have a thermometer that shows the temperature in northern Minnesota--that might make me feel better about where I am.

Weller here's hoping you have a very peaceful; quiet xmas with an overwhelming amount of time by the fire.

As long as it's a controlled fire!

You being a firefighter I figured; to borrow a Klingon expression from John M. Ford's Star Trek Novel 'The Final Reflection', that "This need not be said."

Just stay safe.

Wow--it's been a long time since I read that novel. I think I still have it around the house, somewhere.

Think I read it at least twice a year; no matter how many changes the show makers make, or how cuddly sexy Worfybabes is, or how much I like General Martok; his Klingons are THE Klingons for me. That book and Diane Duane's My Enemy, My Ally are what made me a Trekker; not the show itself.

There was a time when those Trek books were about all there was to keep the fans going!
